The product can be safely disposed of once the product has reached its point of effectiveness. Metal parts or tools can be put in the Rust Zapper solution to soak for a few minutes or overnight depending on the severity of the rust. The product can be used multiple times and can be kept in a closed container for future use. Liquid-O-Ring 891 Rust Zapper has a distinctive blue color that turns green when the product is working to remove the rust.

Liquid-O-Ring 891 Rust Zapper is designed to be used as a dip. Rusted parts should be immersed in full strength Rust Zapper for 30 minutes to 24 hours depending on the severity of the rust. As rusted parts are put in the Rust Zapper solution the color will change from blue to green. The Rust Zapper can be used to clean parts until the solution is weakened to a point where it is no longer effective. Rust Zapper will not harm plastics, wood, or rubber and can be used effectively on nonferrous metals. Use to remove rust from hand tools, gardening tools, engine parts, or other ferrous metals. Reusable multiple times. Can be used to remove light to heavy rust.
