ADNOC has awarded ADNOC Drilling Company a $1.7 billion contract to provide drilling and associated services for the recovery of unconventional energy resources. To service the contract and explore the considerable future opportunities in unconventional resources, ADNOC Drilling has incorporated a new company, Turnwell Industries. Patterson-UTI to partner with ADNOC Drilling in UAE

Patterson-UTI International Holdings, a subsidiary of Patterson-UTI Energy, signed a non-binding term sheet with ADNOC Drilling to hold a minority equity interest in Turnwell Industries, a company recently formed by ADNOC Drilling. In a statement, Patterson-UTI said it expects that Schlumberger Middle East SA, a subsidiary of SLB, will also hold a minority equity interest in Turnwell. Noble nets contract for jackup offshore Spain

Noble announced a new contract for the Noble Resolve jackup with an undisclosed operator, offshore Spain. The campaign will consist of plug and abandon work on 13 wells. SLB announced the award of an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract by OKEA to its OneSubsea joint venture and Subsea7.
